  • All NC staff will need to sign in and out of the daily attendance sheet.

  • If you are using PTO for any reason, you must enter it via TCP. PTO must be used before sick time.

  • Full-day PTO is 7.50 when you are entering it for PTO. You are allowed to take PTO in hours.

All Employee Dress Code

SBCSC has a dress code that discusses appropriate attire for work and grooming standards. The handbook states on pages 55 and 56 of the 2025-2026 Employee Handbook:

Appearance should be physically clean, neat, and well-groomed.

Employees must dress in a manner consistent with their responsibilities.

Employees must dress in a manner that communicates to students and parents a pride in personal appearance.

"Cleanliness and appearance are expressions of an employee’s personal pride and reflect SBCSC high standards of good grooming. Employees are expected to show good taste, avoiding extreme dress and personal grooming which might be unsafe, interfere with job performance, or disrupt The School Corporation from fulfilling its mission. Employees are expected to present themselves in a professional manner that leaves a favorable impression on our students, families, and community."

  • Jeans are allowed; no holes or rips; distressed is different and allowed

  • Shorts are allowed; however, they must be bermuda shorts or long jean shorts. Short shorts or any shorts where you need to pull them down are not allowed.

  • Any hat or bonnet is not allowed; wearing a scarf as a headband is different and allowed

  • Leggings, joggers, and sweatpants are allowed if worn professionally. They should not have rips or holes, wording across the buttocks, and clean. If wearing leggings, your entire front and backside need to be completely covered. You will be asked to change if your front and back are not covered.

  • Sweatshirts, sweaters, and shirts that are cropped must have a tank or cami under it. Showing your midsection is not appropriate for school attire.

  • Slides, flip-flops, crocs, and slippers are not to be worn. It is best to wear shoes that you can run in without falling off or tripping over.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS ARE EVERYTHING!
